Odessa, December 1, 2014
Svetlana Podpalaya, the member of expert-journalist group to investigate the events on May 2 in Odessa, said at a briefing on the outcome of the dialogue with relatives of people, who are accused and suspects in the court. Speaker cited the example of information about one of the defendants, which is example of a plurality of irregularities of investigation. Thus, the suspect, according to Svetlana Podpalaya, has nothing to do with Antimaidan. He’s one of those defendants who were detained on May 2 at the shopping center “Athena” for the number.
At the same time, the expert said about the strange pattern – the less ground for prosecution, less evidence, the less opportunities to take these people under home arrest. At the same time, participants of the event since summer are under home arrest, and continue to participate in Antimaydan movement. Investigation admitted a mistake, but the person was not released. Investigator reasoned it, stating that in this case the released person will be pressure on the investigator and the other defendants.
Now a group of 2 May forced to duplicate the official investigation. It is necessary to control it, detect errors and make them public.
This story is illustration of pseudo-investigation and pseudo-court. This is another reason for the enemies of Ukraine to blame our country in iniquity.
