Ivan Katerynchuk: “For wearing masks and St. George ribbons on May 2, Police will detain. It is likened to a provocation”

Odesa, April 29, 2015 – The head of the regional department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported that in the Kulikovo Field on 2 of May will be a memorial service. This means that there will be no protesters in masks. Such people we will detain. Attitude towards “St. George ribbon” will be the same as the wearing masks. People with ribbons Police also will detain.


Amplification equipment at an action in the Kulikovo Field would be banned, as well as on the Cathedral Square. Because, Ivan Katerinchuk is sure, nobody has a right to get PR on the victims and use them as their own political dividends.


Protection of public order, according to the chief policeman of the region, May 2, Police will provide on the place of death of people in the Greek square, Derybasivska St. and Cathedral Square. Total will be involved about 2800 police officers and 800 volunteers, who will assist the Police.


Ivan Katerenchuk also said that the alleged on April 29 press conference of so-called “Narodna Rada of Bessarabia” will not take place, because it’s illegal action aimed at splitting Ukraine. Any such action will be stopped on the vine.
